Technical knowledge base migrationSiili worked with Wärtsilä to migrate the entire knowledge base to AWS, developing a fully serverless architecture using AWS technologies such as Lambdas, Open Search, and Internet Gateways. The new solution integrated seamlessly with Salesforce, allowing Wärtsilä to continue indexing and retrieving technical documents and case information without relying on external vendors.
The solution was designed to be scalable, with horizontal scaling to handle a growing amount of data. The new system reduced the re-indexing time for technical documents from days to hours, thanks to the scalable, serverless architecture.

Wärtsilä needed to migrate its technical knowledge base (TKB) from a legacy system to a modern, scalable platform. The TKB contained critical documentation such as technical manuals, reports, and case information, primarily integrated with Salesforce.
